Related to the conference on current trends in the Czech and German literature after the year 2000, a meeting of the Czech and German writers takes place at the Faculty of Education from 24th to 25th April 2013.

University of Hradec Králové awarded the doctor honoris causa of the Latin-American studies degree and the Golden Medal of UHK to His Eminence, Dominik Cardinal Duka, Archbishop of Prague on 12th February 2013.​
